Nashville Coffee Shops

March 31, 2022

Since the pandemic, there are many office jobs that have become remote, and people have started their own work-from-home business. With the increase of employees and business owners now working remotely, coffee shops have shifted into an ‘office’ for some. People who may not want to sit at home all day venture out to their local coffee shop to be around people, convenience of coffee and possibly a bigger workspace.

TAYLOR STREET COFFEE AND TEA

Located in the heart of Germantown, and inside of a warehouse-type building on Taylor Street, is probably one of the most unique places to work and sip a cup of joe. Operated by a husband and wife, the locally-owned shop offers a variety of espressos, Crema (another coffee staple in Nashville), Coffee Roaster brews, and of course yummy pastries and teas to choose from. There are multiple seating areas perfect to get work done in a timely manner. Unlike the hustle and bustle crowd of most coffee shops, Taylor Street is very laid back. The owners’ wife even has a flower shop called Vintage Florals that she works on at the coffee shop, so you can even purchase floral arrangements with your coffee or tea!

Taylor Street is a highly recommended place to visit – you may even see sweet pups running around the warehouse if you stay long enough!

Taylor Street Coffee and Tea is open from 8:30AM-4:30PM and closed Saturdays and Sundays.

FROTHY MONKEY

There are multiple Frothy Monkey locations in and around Nashville. Each Frothy Monkey is a bit different from the other. The largest location is located in The Nations. As soon as you walk in you are seated and are given your own water jug. You can choose to sit inside or the beautiful  porch outside. Frothy is a great place to get work done if you’re planning on being there for an extensive amount of time. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so depending on what time you arrive, you have plenty of food options. Not to mention their coffee menu is endless!

Frothy Monkey hours vary depending on locations.

BARISTA PARLOR

Barista Parlor is one of the best places to work on projects.

They have a variety of coffees and seasonal drinks- such as their newest addition to their Springtime drinks- Strawberry Matcha. Barista Parlor also has pastries, breakfast biscuits and small brunch items. Their locations are in and around the Nashville area, some are even inside hotels such as the W. Each location has something special to offer when it comes to natural sunlight. Some have garages they have open at all times, others have windows at every table, creating the space to feel more open and creative. They also have a record player that employees often choose vinyl albums and play throughout the room.

Barista Parlor is open from 7AM-6PM.
